**Employment Opportunity**
The Grants Officer (APS Level 6) role is part of the Grants Policy Unit (GPU), within the Financial Services Branch, Corporate Services Division. The GPU plays a proactive role in advising and supporting program areas in managing their grant programs, contributing to the integrity uplift program, building capability through development of internal guidance and facilitating knowledge sharing, fulfilling specific external reporting obligations and maintaining relationships with the Community Grants Hub (CGH), (part of the Department of Social Services), and the Business Grants Hub (BGH), (part of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.)
- providing advice and guidance to staff in the department on AGD grant policies, the Commonwealth grants framework, and grants guidance materials issued by the Department of Finance
- developing grant guidance material, templates and tools on specific aspects of grant administration
- ensuring information on the section's intranet is relevant, accurate and up to date
- triaging the GPUs central mailbox, and responding to inquiries and facilitating knowledge sharing
- assisting with the preparation of grant reporting, including Senate Orders
- working with the grants hubs regarding access to and support for AGD users of their systems, maintaining grant program contact lists and coordinating joint meetings
- monitoring grants awarded are accurately uploaded to GrantConnect in a timely manner in compliance with the Commonwealth grants framework, and
- other duties as required.
