**THE ROLE**
Our business is rapidly expanding and we are seeking to employ an Accounts Officer to join our team based out of our Head Office in Mulgrave. This role can be tailored to suit a
- part-timer who may need to do school drop off and pick up; or
- full-timer who wants to work full time towards career progression.

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting to the Director, your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process and review AP vouchers;
- Prepare weekly pay run;
- Send out remittance advice to suppliers;
- Check trade accounts statements and associated invoices;
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Monitor client payments, send out receipts, and calculate sales commissions;
- Produce weekly AR reports and send out statement for any overdue account;
Payroll
- Monthly payroll and pay slips via MYOB
Bank reconciliations and Accounts Balance
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Accounts preparation to trial balance;
BAS (Business Activity Statement)
- GST Activity & PAYG Report
- Accounts Transaction Reports by Job
Other
- MYOB, Workbench and Basecamp record keeping, job creation, cost centre allocation, and financial reports
- Compile key business metrics and report to management
- Contribute to ongoing job cost analyses in all areas of the company, to provide timely project level profit and loss report and analyses.
- Interview, select, and guide accounting interns
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
**To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key competencies and experiences**:
- Accuracy and Attention to detail is a necessity
- Ability to multi task and prioritise duties
- Strong organisational skills and critical thinking skills
- High level of English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Advanced MYOB and EXCEL skills required
- Quick to learn
- Experience with Workbench will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge on the building industry will be a bonus
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
