We are an Australian owned and family operated Company that imports, manufactures, sources, markets, sells and distributes a diverse range of high quality international and locally branded products to the FMCG, DIY Hardware, Garden and Home Improvement Retail Channels in Australia & New Zealand. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated and driven individual to join our successful team.

Located in the south-eastern suburbs, we are close to public transport with free onsite parking.  We are a dynamic and diverse business, and we have an exciting opportunity available for a highly experienced and proactive Accounts Officer to join our finance team.

You will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Managing Accounts Receivable ledger.
  • Processing rebates and maintenance of rebate register.
  • Liaising with the sales team to finalize credit claims.
  • Proactively pursuing outstanding debtors.
  • Reconciliation of selected customer accounts.
  • Producing daily sales reports.
  • Maintenance of customer database and processing new credit application forms.
  • Allocating customer payments as per bank transaction and remittance advice.
  • Processing of Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Preparing creditor payments for internal approval.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to improve both AR and AP procedures.
  • Supporting the Finance Team with general month-end and accounting tasks.

You are pragmatic and focused, with an eye for continuous improvement. Your initiative and enthusiasm is recognized as a strength. You can also demonstrate:

  • Pronto ERP (or similar) experience essential.
  • Excellent accounts payable and general accounting experience.
  • A working knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in intermediate-advanced MS Office suite especially Excel.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
