**Position Description**
Our client, well known and highly regarded in the market are currently seeking a dynamic up and coming Accounts Payable Officer to step into this business in a position that will grow and develop your exposure to Payables in a high volume environment.

You will have senior responsibilities and must possess the right attitude to a challenge for this role.

**Responsibilities**
The Accounts Payable Officer will take total responsibility for their own ledger, and will work with different areas of the business.

The Accounts Payable Officer will also look for areas of continuous improvement in our systems and processes.

Reporting into the Manager of Transactional Services you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following;
- Monitor the receival and processing of Store claim batches to meet established Accounting Timeframes. Ensuring all batch headers are accurate for processing.
- Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and approved.
- One time vendor invoices processed on more than 3 occasions are investigated as per Audit requirement
- Data entry of unregistered vendor invoices and OPV’s (Office Payment Vouchers)
- Invoices accurately prepared and batched for scanning and processing
- Non compliant Tax invoices must be investigated and resolved prior to processing
- Correction of batch/Invoice errors
- Preparation and processing of journals
- invoices to be data entered and matched against purchase order
- Non compliant invoices to be investigated and resolved with relevant staff members.
- Previous experience within an Accounts Payable position.
- Experience in using SAP is preferred, otherwise a large ERP system.
- Foreign exchange experience is essential
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to prioritise own work, and have excellent time management skills
- Working in a team, you must have a team player mentality and willingness to assist the team as and when required.
