**Sustainable Agriculture Sector -Lead**

We have an exciting opportunity with a forward-thinking company that combines agricultural science with recycled organics to achieve positive outcomes.

Our client, a prominent ecological engineering firm, is currently seeking a dedicated commercially minded Sector Lead based in Southeast QLD. You will be leading efforts to enhance agricultural crop and grazing practices, focusing on soil health, productivity, and environmental performance. Additionally, you will be overseeing initiatives related to the company's growing recycled organics business.

**Responsibilities of the role will be to**:

- Lead a multi-disciplined team of six+ staff in daily operations, including project management initiatives, as well as collaborating with both internal cross-functional teams and external subcontracting teams.
- Manage landholder engagement, client development, and local community relationships as well as legislative and regulatory relationships, while promoting the efficient use of recycled organics.
- Ensure all administrative management is maintained in a timely, efficient, and accurate way, including reporting KPIs and EOM reporting procedures.
- Oversee landscape ecological function through reporting, soil assessment, nutrient budgeting, and compliance plans.
- Identify additional opportunities for ecological agriculture services within the sector and lead the business development efforts in these areas.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE obligations as well as all sector legislation, guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Engage stakeholders and develop networks with landowners, peak bodies, agronomy advisors, researchers, environmental managers, processors, government, media, and other interested parties.
- Remain current on all market trends, providing feedback to the business, on suggestions around the market.

**The individual will require**:

- Tertiary qualified in Agricultural Science, Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Forestry, combined with either qualifications in commerce or commercial experience.
- Cropping or grazing experience including agricultural land management and providing landholder advice would be preferred.
- Familiarity with digital technologies for crop production and soil health.
- Understanding of general agricultural compliance requirements. Recycled organics in agriculture (would be advantageous).
- Proficiency in field assessment, contractor management, reporting, and basic GIS (Geographic Information System), with a keen interest in emergent technology.
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel, work in the field and be hands-on with the team.
