Project Officer - Full Time - Ongoing - VPS4 Position

**Core responsibilities of the role include**:

- Contributing to providing high quality project management to ensure implementation of policy and processes related to the Department's short and long-term infrastructure and asset strategies, investment priorities and planning for educational facilities, particularly in relation to the planning for new schools, early childhood facilities and infrastructure for students with disabilities;
- Contributing to demographic and data analysis and the development of methodologies, policies and processes that support the planning for new educational facilities;
- Contributing to providing quality advice as required in response to queries from Regions, schools and other stakeholders in relation to planning for educational facilities and the New Schools Pipeline;
- Identifying and contributing to improvements in departmental planning advice, analysis (including spatial analysis), policies and guidelines; including improving planning guidelines, methodologies, policies, systems and processes;
- Contributing to high quality verbal and written advice and visual presentation of issues to senior executives, the Department's Executive Board and Ministers; including presentations, briefings, papers Cabinet submissions;
- Building and maintaining effective relationships and actively contributing to improved communication within the Department and with key external stakeholders including, other central, portfolio and planning agencies, and local government and other key external stakeholders; this includes managing consultation with key stakeholders;
- Supporting improved project management, policy and analytical capabilities, systems and processes within the Department;
