An opportunity has been created for a Quality Assurance Officer to join an established Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for the daily monitoring activities and ongoing improvement of the Food Safety and Quality program.

The Quality Assurance Officer is a key member of the manufacturing team and will contribute to staff training, GMP compliance, supplier performance and supporting all aspects of the NPD process.

Key responsibilities for this position are:

- Maintaining a Quality and Food Safety Management System to SQF standard
- Ensure all products manufactured meet product specifications and food safety requirements
- Preventing, Investigating and Responding to customer complaints
- Participating in internal and external Food Safety and Quality audits
- Participating in sensory panels, recipe development and NPD projects.
- Conducting Production pre-op inspections, CCP checks and coordinating corrective actions when required.
- Conducting product inspection on line and working closely with production to maintain and improve the quality of products
- Ensure the HACCP plan verification and calibration activities are completed

You will bring initiative, the ability to manage short and changing timelines and priorities and strong organizational skills. You will have an eye for detail and be able to work in both team and individual situations.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:
A degree in Food Science / Technology or equivalent and previous experience within the FMCG industry would be an added advantage,

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
