**About the opportunity**:
The Taxation Assessing Officer is required to interpret stamp duty and housing grant legislation, undertake technical assessments and also undertake other duties as directed; primarily related to the administration of stamp duty and housing grants.

The successful applicant should be able to effectively resolve conflict situations, communicate well with staff, taxpayers and taxpayer representatives.

The Taxation Assessing Officer reports to the Manager, Taxation Services.

**About you**

The position requires sound State taxation knowledge with particular experience and knowledge with stamp duty and housing grants being preferred. The position is the first level of escalation from RevenueSA’s communication centre for technical stamp duty matters. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

To be successful you will be:

- Experienced in the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice policies, procedures, strategies and/or initiatives.
- Have the ability to work well in a team environment whilst also having the ability to work independently, under limited direction.
- Ability to work under high pressure whilst providing technical and professional services.
- A strong understanding of the stamp duty and first home owner grant legislation.
