About the Role
As the Deputy Principal, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:

- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Display high quality leadership that directly influences the engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing of staff and students.
- Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure Day 8 Procedure are streamlined and executed.
- Fostering positive working relationships with feeder schools.
- Lead the development and implementation of embedding school-wide ICT practices to build staff and student capacity
- Oversee the Year 7 transition program, ensuring a smooth and positive adjustment for students moving from primary to secondary school.
- Promote student well-being by implementing pastoral care programs and interventions designed to support mental health, resilience, and social-emotional development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where the school's values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, and Relationships are upheld.
- Provide strategic leadership for the Year 7 cohort, ensuring the alignment of student development with school policies, educational goals, and core values.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve strategic goals.
- Deliver operational requirements within the school.
- Empowering every student to experience academic success through inclusive practices that enable access, participation purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning.
- Develop the capability of teachers and leaders within the school community that has a focus on being collaborative and strategic.
