Defence Acquisition Project needs skilled Procurement Manager

**Your new company**
Defence provider is seeking a Procurement Manager to supplement the contractor workforce within a high-profile Defence project.

**Your new role**
The Procurement Manager will be expected to undertake complex procurement activities to support the deliverables and projects within Defence in a manner that is compliant with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs). This includes:

- Drafting and preparing procurement document packs and obtaining necessary approvals in accordance with procurement policy and legislation.
- Liaising with relevant staff and Defence procurement stakeholders, to progress procurement activities efficiently and cooperatively; maintaining an overview of concurrent procurement activities and appropriately forecasting and prioritising work effort.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The Procurement Manager will be confident with task coordination, communication and maintaining ‘dashboards or similar artefacts to support briefing, decision making and record keeping. This includes ensuring staff have appropriate information and defensible audit records regarding current and historic procurement activities. Specific skills/qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist, or relevant role.
- ITAR experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required or equivalent industry experience.
- Sound skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly effective written skills to support documentation and communication requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile team environment.
- Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance to a minimum of NV1.
