Our client is looking for a Technology Consultant to provide Technical and Commercial guidance across this program of work. In essence the role with require an SME across Mine Site operations.

Our client is looking for a Mining Technician Consultant to analyse the IT needs and requirements of our Major Project Stakeholders, identifying requirements conducting options analysis, feasibility studies and presenting options for the best IT infrastructure solutions to meet the project objectives and specifications over the full technology lifecycle.
- Responsibilities:

- Analyze the IT needs and requirements of mining growth projects, and provide recommendations for the best IT infrastructure solutions to meet them.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the technical and financial viability of the proposed IT infrastructure solutions.
- Facilitate the design and implement IT infrastructure solutions for our mining projects, including hardware, software, network, security, and cloud components, in accordance with the project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other IT professionals, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery and integration of the IT infrastructure components.
- Document and report on the IT infrastructure project progress, issues, and outcomes, and communicate effectively with the stakeholders and management.
- Create and manage the IT infrastructure roadmaps, milestone level schedules and high level project plans.
- Define work packages scope, schedules, budget estimate, and quality criteria

Describe the qualifications and skills required to perform the work:

- Significant onsite experience in the mining or other resource industry in the role of IS&T technical lead or site support supervisor
- Experience in architecture / design of IT Infrastructure, compute & storage and radio communications is essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or related fields will be highly regarded, as will formal qualifications in project management methodology such as PMBOK, PMP or PRINCE2
- Ability to solve problems with a flexible and consultative approach in an environment with changing scope and uncertainty is essential
- Significant experience with construction projects and interfacing with external contractors e.g. EPCM

Strong leadership and strong skills in engaging with the Steering Committee and Senior Leaders
- Driven to achieve the desired outcomes and meet customer expectations
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to build trust relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites and project locations as required.
