**About Us**:
Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.
Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany.
**Position Summary**:
Alzheimer's WA are looking for a Receptionist/ Administration Officer. The role reports to the Executive Assistant and is responsible for the professional and efficient functioning of the reception and providing administrative support. It plays a key role as it presents the first impression of the Organisation to visitors, phone callers, and customers. It deals with customer liaison, reception/switchboard, and general administration.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Open the reception, including the switchover of phones, checkingfor messages and open blinds in the meeting rooms;
- Operatethe switchboard and direct callsin an efficient and timelymanner;
- Receive and forward messagesto staff in a timely manner;
- Provide telephone support to the client service team;
- Create and maintain a warm, welcoming environment for all;
- Greet visitorsat reception and assist with theirenquiries, either directly or by contacting the appropriate department or person;
- Receiveand disperse of the organisation’s deliveries, mail and other items;
- Maintain records of mail out quantities/cost per department;
- Assist with raise purchase orders;
- Ensure that photocopiers have adequate paper and ink stocks and are operating efficiently;
- Ensure that the reception area and meeting rooms arekept tidy and in good order;
- Assist in maintaining clientand staff databases and files;
- Keep the kitchen/lunchroom area neat and tidy (unstack/re-stack dishwasher);
- Check the office suppliesand process stationery and other office consumables;
- Report to any faultyequipment or necessary repairsto the asset manager;
- Issueand receipt of pool vehicle keys;
- Where practicable, participate and assist with the coordination of the organisation's eventsand activities;
- Other duties as directed by the executive assistant or other senior members of staff.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Demonstrate relevant experience of administration/reception experience relevant to the position;
- Reception/telephone experience with excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present and manage stakeholder relationships;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines;
- An abilityto prioritise, monitorand coordinate personalworkloads to meet varyingdeadlines;
- WA 'C' class driver'slicence;
- NDIS WorkerScreening Check; and
- COVID-19 Vaccination (three doses).
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Previous experience in the health and aged care industry
