As the Risk and Assurance Specialist you will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) management frameworks within SDIS.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of a health, safety, environment and quality management framework, systems, and processes for SDB and SDI that aligns with applicable legislation, ISO standards, and customer specifications.
- Lead processes to ensure HSE legislative obligations are identified and assessment of control effectiveness with relevant stakeholder groups.
- Maintain legal and compliance registers for the SDIS group.
- Develop and lead implementation of a layered assurance framework to support HSEQ internal and external audit program in SDIS targeting risk and management system certification requirements.
- Lead the development and undertake process specific audits across SDIS.
- Manage and lead third-party assurance activities, to ensure the required safety, environmental and quality certifications are maintained.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to SDIS relevant stakeholders on compliance and quality requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and report on internal and external audit and assurance programs as well as regulatory compliance updates
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety
- Extensive knowledge of auditing HSE and ISO management systems
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a compliance, quality or HSE specialist position
- Extensive prior experience developing safety, environment and quality management systems
- Extensive working knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to safety, environment, quality and risk
- Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures for a multi geographic diverse organisation
- Prior experience in technical writing in procedures, safety systems and assurance audits
- Proven project management skills and attributes
