Our client owns and operates eight schools, providing education for over 6,000 students, as well as social services including aged care facilities, community programs, and youth services. The organization is dedicated to promoting a just and sustainable world through education, community service, and advocacy.
**About The Role**:
**Position Overview**:
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Establish and manage strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Executive Director, Executive Officer, College Principals, and governance committees.
- Lead, develop, and implement the overarching risk and resilience strategy, structure, and systems across the business, creating engagement with key stakeholders.
- Support the development of strategic and operational risk frameworks including processes, methodologies, and tools for effective governance and assurance.
- Provide authoritative risk, quality, and compliance reports and specialist advice to senior stakeholders.
- Manage the contract between the business and its internal audit provider to ensure that an annual internal audit plan is established and delivered in accordance with the internal audit charter.
- Work with the ICT Leaders within ministries to ensure the suitability and readiness of Disaster recovery arrangements and that critical risks and threats are identified, appropriately understood, planned for, and monitored.
- Create a climate for process and systems optimization and change, advocate for strategic initiatives that deliver priority outcomes for ministries.
- Achieve organizational goals by effectively managing the team's and team members' functional performance.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a recognized tertiary course, preferably with acumen in the legal field or similar.
- Competencies in assurance and risk management.
