About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Assistant Commissioner, Culture, Performance, and Conduct. In this critical role, you will lead QCS in implementing and embedding a department-wide cultural change program.

You will oversee the development and execution of strategies and initiatives aimed at fostering a high-performing, respectful, ethical, and professional workforce free from sexual harassment, discrimination, and bullying.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading the implementation of the QCS Culture Framework, Culture Action Plan, and Positive Workforce Response.
Overseeing strategies and organisational responses to prevent, detect, and respond to workplace sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying.
Driving a transformational change program to uplift leadership capabilities and reshape workforce culture.
Providing expert advice to senior executives on complex workforce and employee relations matters relating to workplace sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying.
Establishing performance frameworks to monitor the effectiveness of culture and conduct strategies.
Building and maintaining strategic partnerships and networks to advance QCS priorities.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Extensive experience leading contemporary people functions within complex and high-risk environments.
Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide cultural and leadership initiatives.
Expertise in workforce management, employee relations, and navigating unionised environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address sensitive and complex issues.

Desired Qualifications:
Formal qualifications in human resource management, law, or related fields are highly regarded.
Experience in correctional or similar operational environments will be advantageous.
