As Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality administrative and payroll support services to Rest employees and leaders. You will collate, process and administer end-to-end payroll responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with Rest’s documented policies and processes. You will be the first point of contact for payroll queries.**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Partner with the Payroll Manager to ensure timely processing and delivery of Rest’s fortnightly payroll
- Maintain the payroll inbox, ensuring all queries are investigated / escalated and responded to, according to our SLA requirements
- Completion of end of pay process per Rest’s documented process, including STP lodgements
- Assist the Payroll Manager with the preparation of the monthly Directors pay (if required)
- Maintain and update payroll and employee records
- Assist with payroll reporting as requested by the business
- Assist with the development of any policies, procedures and forms related to payroll in line with continuous improvement and quality
- Assist the Payroll Manager with system upgrades and testing; making recommendations to improve Rest’s payroll processes

**About You**:

- End-to-end payroll experience in similar roles
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance / Payroll will be highly regarded
- Experience using iChris / CHRIS21, including report writing (highly regarded)
- Payroll calculations - including (but not limited to) manual calculations for terminations, redundancies, higher duties, new starters, backpays, parental leave pay, purchased leave, time in lieu, leave, workers’ compensation and novated leases
- Ensure compliance with various state and federal legislation and remain current with legislative changes that affect payroll.
- A flexible approach to working hours to suit the payroll timetable and undertaking additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfilment of the payroll team’s duties.
