Randwick, Australia Learn and Laugh Full time

Learn and Laugh is a small family owned company with 10 centre's around Sydney/Central Coast. Our Randwick centre is purpose built and offers quality care to 55 children a day, 5 days per week. We are recruiting for Educators who hold a Certificate III or Diploma level childcare qualification looking for casual work at our Randwick centre. Shifts are available to cover any annual and personal leave.

Essential qualifications needed for the position are:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Services or Certificate III in Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
- Current Working with Children Check

Shift opportunities:

- Between 7.30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday
- 8 hours
- 10 hours

We are ideally seeking someone who has experience working in a long day care setting, though we are very willing to support educators who wish to gain experience and develop their skills.

**The Role**

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Develop open communication with educators, children and families
- Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children
- Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play
- Facilitate children’s play through weaving the children’s emerging interests with professional expertise
- Communicated positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis
- Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes
- Respond to the emotional needs of the children
- Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations
- Create a stimulating, positive and aesthetically pleasing environment to support children’s development
- Support other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care.

**About You**

Essential qualifications needed for the position are:

- Cert III / Diploma in Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved)
- First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative.
- Have excellent English communication skills
