Learn and Laugh is a small family owned company with 8 centre's around Sydney/Central Coast. Our Randwick centre is purpose built and offers quality care to 55 children a day, 5 days per week. We are recruiting for Educators who hold a Certificate III or Diploma level childcare qualification looking for casual work at our Randwick centre.

Essential qualifications needed for the position are:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Services or Certificate III in Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
- Current Working with Children Check

Shift opportunities:

- Between 07.45am - 06:00 pm Monday - Friday.
- 8 hours
- 10 hours

We are ideally seeking someone who has experience working in a long day care setting, though we are very willing to support educators who wish to gain experience and develop their skills.

**The Role**

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Develop open communication with educators, children and families
- Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children
- Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play
- Facilitate children’s play through weaving the children’s emerging interests with professional expertise
- Communicated positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis
- Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes
- Respond to the emotional needs of the children
- Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations
- Create a stimulating, positive and aesthetically pleasing environment to support children’s development
- Support other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care.

**About You**

Essential qualifications needed for the position are:

- Cert III in Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved)
- First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative.
- Have excellent English communication skills
