**About the role**
The **Sector** **Liaison** **Officer** plays a key role in supporting the Centre of Excellence to enhance Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) training and education across Australia. Reporting to the Manager of Engagement and Communications, the role coordinates stakeholder engagement activities across a range of initiatives and facilitates collaboration with industry partners, government agencies, education providers, and other key stakeholders.

The position provides administrative and secretariat support to project teams and provides guidance on engagement and communication strategies to promote the Centre of Excellence. A strong focus is placed on advancing diversity and inclusion and ensuring stakeholder input informs continuous improvement of ECEC programs.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary team where your expertise is relied upon for the development and delivery of engagement plans and communications strategies. You will possess an ability to resolve complex matters in a way that is solution focused and builds beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders.
You are a quick learner with excellent written communication skills and an ability to craft communications that meet the needs of target audiences and achieve stakeholder buy-in.
You have demonstrated self-management and organisational skills with a proven level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.

**Special Conditions**
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Some intrastate/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
