Are you an experienced testing professional with a passion for ensuring quality in enterprise systems?
We are seeking a skilled Test Lead to provides technical consulting and subject matter expertise in designing, executing, analysing, and reporting test plans and strategies for enterprise systems and sub-systems under development, ensuring quality assurance for educational and business systems on DoE platforms.
This role entails collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams on testing and quality assurance projects, analysing business requirements to develop strategies that reduce system outage risks and identify defects. The Test Lead interprets complex test scripts, reviews results modifies tests as necessary and produces progress reports with recommendations.
They facilitate effective communication, maintain accurate records, lead test team members, and balance competing demands to meet project objectives, while staying current with the latest tools and technologies. Additionally, they manage business expectations and delivery capacities to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery across multiple platforms.

About you
- Demonstrated experience as an SAP Test Lead across large portfolios and programs of work with in-depth understanding of core SAP functional and implementation principles
- Comprehensive expertise in SAP Testing with a solid understanding of Payroll processes and key modules including Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time and Leave Management, Employee Self-Service (ESS), Manager Self-Service (MSS) and Australia Payroll.
- Strong proficiency in core FI/CO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). Adept in key financial processes such as reporting, banking, and payment runs, ensuring seamless integration with payroll and other financial systems.
- Extensive experience and understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
- Experience working in complex environment with many stakeholders and vendors
- Strong experience in the preparation of Test Plans, test scripts, test results and defect reports
- A solid understanding of the various software testing methodologies, types and test case design techniques.
- Experience in testing enterprise messaging systems and the various protocols
- Experience in use of test management tools such as HPQC, Value Edge, JIRA
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Extensive experience in testing applications and use of automation/AI tools.
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
