We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Accounts Payable Officer** to join our Finance team on a full-time, 6-month contract. This is a vital role within our aged care organisation, ensuring timely and accurate financial processing that supports our commitment to quality care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process and code invoices in line with the Chart of Accounts and Financial Delegation
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date creditors ledger
- Manage vendor payments in line with contractual obligations and payment terms
- Respond professionally and promptly to creditor queries
- Process credit card expense journals and client payments
- Prepare and post monthly journals, including BAS submissions and PAYG payments
- Assist with bank reconciliations and general administrative duties
- Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

**About You**:
**Essential**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and accounting principles
- Proficient in general office administration tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Desirable**:

- Experience in aged care or a similar environment
- Familiarity with finance-related systems used in residential care
