The AN-ACC Manager’s primary role is to provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure that all McLean Care residential aged care facilities have the most advantageous case mix by providing internal AN-ACC assessment of existing and new residents to ultimately improve McLean Cares efficiency and profitability.
Essential Skills
- High level clinical leadership skills in the coordination and provision of consumer centre care and best practice outcomes
- Ability to think systematically and understand the implications of policies and practices
- Strong quantitative analytical skills including the ability to analyse and balance case-mix, resource planning and funding
- Ability to quickly assimilate, assess, and act upon new concepts, trends and initiatives
- Ability to exercise a high degree of independence, initiative, judgement, discretion and decision-making to prioritize workload and achieve objectives
- Ability to build professional relationships with key stake holders and staff
- An awareness of Work Health and Safety and Duty of Care
Knowledge
- High level understanding of case mix as it relates to a health care setting
- Excellent understanding of legislation and standards relevant to the industry
Experience and Qualifications
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in delivering telehealth-enabled services
- Experience in assessment, care planning and evaluation of complex clinal services and case mix classification
- Demonstrated experience in managing conflicting deadlines and priorities
- Current unencumbered driver’s licence
