**The Role**
The Logistics Systems Branch seeks an enthusiastic, flexible and highly organised APS 5 Business Support Officer to provide administration and support across LSB.
In this role you will assist in operational administration and business support work within an integrated workforce comprising ADF, APS and contracted personnel.
The Business Support Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions.
Duties will include establishing and maintaining knowledge management systems, administrative and operational policies and assisting the Executive Officer with other administration tasks such as arranging meetings and undertaking research and analysis tasks.
Success in this role will require attention to detail, a desire to learn quickly and the ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Due to the geographical dispersed nature of the team some interstate travel may be required.
**About our Team**
Logistics Systems Branch is looking for a high performing, experienced Administrator to be a part of our small, dynamic Coordination Support Team within the Director General Office.
The Business Support Officer will coordinate and contribute to the teams’ work plan and provide advice to team members on complex tasks. They will be required to engage in communications with stakeholders to identify, respond to, and provide advice on issues relating to LSB. Director General Logistics Systems and the Executive Officer, and several other key staff of the Branch are Canberra based.
The Business Support Officer is part of the Director General Office team, alongside the Laverton, Melbourne team. This means you will need to be comfortable working closely with team members based in the Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne offices.
- Coordinate administrative and business support activities for the branch.
- Engage and negotiate with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
- Work collaboratively to build and sustain effective relationships and operate as an effective team member.
- Briefs, reports and correspondence related to branch activities.
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.
- Have a good level of computer literacy including with financial systems, Microsoft Office and Objective records management system.
- Knowledge of the APS recruitment system is desirable.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
