**The Role**
The APS5 ICT Service Manager is accountable under routine direction to undertake moderately complex ICT service provision activities and tasks. You will undertake various ICT service provision activities involving monitoring service levels and supplier relationship management and will have some authority and discretion to exercise initiative and judgement to achieve results.
Note that one of the vacant positions requires the preferred applicant to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the Negative Vetting 1 clearance level. The remaining five vacant positions require the preferred applicant to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the Baseline clearance level.
The duties of an APS5 ICT Service Manager occupation in Defence include the following (note: not all duties are required to be performed during a 12 month performance cycle):

- Monitor and report on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence.
- Accountable to update and distribute new and revised quality standards related to ICT service provision.
- Research and identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service and initiate and report on these actions.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders and understands their expectations and concerns.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Design solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.

**About our Team**

You will require a combination of technical, service management, contract management, communications and relationship building skills. You will support a team that partners with Defence industry to manage ICT capabilities to deliver high quality services. The role will ensure that service support and service delivery process related to the capability are in place and meet business expectations.
