More than 50 years ago a foundation was laid, with a vision for the future. To re-imagine the environments where Australians would live, work and grow. In this time, Mirvac has evolved from a small joint venture to a thriving ASX-listed property group, leading in sustainability, innovation, safety, and placemaking.
Mirvac has created some of Australia’s most iconic places, from thriving residential communities, to landmark offices and mixed-use precincts. At the heart of every project: a deep commitment to our customers, and an ambition to reimagine urban life.
Our Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join our Brisbane-based Master Planned Communities team.
**Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)**:
Creating and managing project feasibility — across single stage, multi-stage, and JV models — and all components of the project financial model
Establishing and managing project budgets and cash flows with accuracy and rigour
Leading and concluding commercial negotiations
Reviewing and managing the project programme and development brief
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the planning system and managing Development Approvals
Providing expert advice on legal, regulatory and industry matters as they relate to project feasibility and delivery
Identifying and managing risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes, with the judgment to escalate appropriately
Driving value through continuous improvement, innovation, and disciplined management of revenue, time and cost
Maintaining a strong ‘big picture’ view — identifying new business opportunities and project requirements
Leading effective, outcome-driven project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Your Point of Difference
You will be degree-qualified with proven experience in development management for residential and master planned community projects. You will bring:
A deep understanding of development feasibility and the drivers of project success
Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen
High-level communication skills, with the ability to write clear and detailed reports and to chair professional and outcomes-focused meetings
Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence
