Employee and Workplace Relations is responsible for management of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS)'s industrial relations program, the management of employee relations issues including employee conduct, the Human Resource Business Partnerships, and administration of the internal review of actions process.
**About the Role**:
This new Principal Investigator position will lead and mentor a team of investigators responsible for conducting complex and sensitive end-to-end employee reportable conduct and associated misconduct investigations and providing expert, strategic advice on reportable conduct investigations to the broader department. The role will have a primary focus on reportable conduct, its processes, investigations and outcomes.
Some of your other duties will include:
- Reviewing and quality assurance of all official correspondence related to the team's investigations.
- Assisting the Senior Manager in directing and monitoring the activities of the unit, including the professional development, training, coaching and welfare of staff.
- Identifying areas for continuous improvement and potential and emerging issues within the reportable conduct function.
**About You**:
- Extensive experience in undertaking complex and sensitive investigations, consistent with relevant legislative and industrial requirements. Specific experience in misconduct and/or reportable conduct investigations is required.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
- High-level written communication and experience in developing complex documentation.
