**About the role**

The IT Support Technician is responsible for outstanding customer support, assisting people with their everyday technical problems. You will also get a chance to learn about corporate systems and assist the engineers in highly technical projects. The role serves as a technical expert in the end user compute arena. You will be able to drive change to technical solutions in order to provide a high level of service to the end user. The role is based in either our Sydney with some travel to the Wollongong office and reports to the Head of IT in Sydney.
**What your day looks like**
- Monitor the Help Desk queue and manage IT tickets
- Assist employees with technical IT issues with Laptops, Phones etc
- Build and deploy new laptops and assist new starters
- Identify and drive improvement to end-user systems
- Work closely with other IT team members and third-party suppliers
- Ensure all Video conferencing and meeting rooms are functioning
- Assist with other operational activities.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline
- Ability to troubleshoot end-user IT issues on MacOS and Windows
- IT experience as an IT technician an advantage
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of MS Office, o365, Domains, AD, Anti-Malware, Intune, phones, printers, and other end-user technologies.
- Understanding of Linux, Jira, Confluence, AWS, Firewalls, OpenVPN, DHCP, Proxies and Network technology’s an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Friendly and Proactive attitude, Team Player
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and be a Team Player
- Attention to detail and able to follow procedures
- A keen sense of curiosity and passion and a desire to learn about current IT hardware and software trends
