**About the Role**

As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence.

**Duties**

Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.

Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**How to Apply**

Bupa Villages and Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.

**IMPORTANT: All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza, and have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.**
