We are on the hunt for a **support worker** experienced with complex behaviours and mental health for a client located in **Maroubra, Sydney**. You will be provided with training and guidance and have access to 24/7 support.

We aim to employ individuals who reflect our company morals and values, understand different participant needs, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care.

**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sydney to work within our **In-Home Care. **You must be available for at least **15 hours per week - 3 hours a day minimum.**

Due to role requirements, only females will be shortlisted.

As a support worker in our team, you will support our individuals with their daily living skills, assist with social and recreational activities, implement, and monitor practices that will promote a healthier lifestyle, and empower participants to help them achieve their goals.

**For this role, you will be required to**
- Support client to maintain their space and personal care
- Support client to develop their everyday living skills so that they can function effectively in everyday society.
- Use crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies to manage complex behaviours and redirect behaviours of concern
- Support the client to implement strategies to reduce challenging behaviours
- Support the client to develop emotional regulation skills

- You will be a valued team member helping provide services to support clients’ individual needs in their homes and community.
- Paid hours (casual) + Kilometres - Attractive hourly rates

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Mental health experience (Schizophrenia and Autism preferrable)
- Personal Care
- Cert III in Individual Support (preferrable)
- Cert IV in Disability (preferrable)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- First Aid and CPR Certification (required)
- Driver’s License (required)
- NDIS Screener check (required)
- Police Check (required)

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $36.90 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
