**About the opportunity**

The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

- Providing a wide range of services and controls in accordance with governing legislation
- Executing Council’s regulatory functions for various Acts within your authority
- Detecting and addressing any breaches as necessary, ensuring alignment with our commitment
- Regulatory enforcement including, but not limited to:

- Illegal Dumping
- Abandoned Vehicles
- Heavy Vehicle Enforcement
- Other legislative enforcement matters.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong customer service.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Relevant Local Government experience in a similar capacity
- Provision of a wide range of skills applicable to the position
- Current class C driver's licence
- Clearance of National Police Check.

**Desirable**:

- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services)
- Knowledge of relevant issues and applicable legislation/regulations
- Computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft products such as Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate own work activities
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,361.20 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Leaseback vehicle
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
