The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and environmental services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects and programs.

**About the Position**

Are you passionate about sustainability and waste management? The City of Stirling is looking for a dedicated and skilled **Contracts Officer - Waste Services** to join our Infrastructure Directorate. This is your chance to make a significant impact on our community by overseeing and managing waste and recycling contract services.

As a Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for the full contract lifecycle, from tender specification development and evaluation to contract formulation, execution, and close-out processes. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement the City’s waste management strategy, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and prepare tender documentation, including scope of works.
- Act as a liaison for contractors and manage the tender/procurement process.
- Monitor spending against budget and oversee active contracts.
- Schedule and conduct regular contract meetings.
- Prepare reports and provide supplementary information to management and council.
- Ensure contractor performance meets the City’s standards and key performance indicators.
- Maintain and analyze all relevant documentation and data throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Foster positive working relationships with all stakeholders.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have a high level of interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a strong emphasis on customer service.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll possess the following skills and/or qualifications:

- Diploma in Contract Management or equivalent industry experience.
- High-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Experience in waste management or administration of waste contracts.
- Knowledge of local government functions and structure.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant procurement software.

This temporary full-time position is a Level 7 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attract a salary from $96,731 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
