**Introduction**:
Regis Resources is an ASX-listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team and a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. Regis is a purely Australian gold miner with operations in Western Australia and New South Wales.

The mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits. This is an opportunity to join a high performing team, currently producing circa 400,000 oz. of gold per annum.

**Description**:
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Safety and Environment Manager of our Duketon operations, the multi-faceted focuses of this key leadership role include:
Implement site based OH&S systems and services;
Manage a team of people to achieve H&S Objectives;
Implement corporate OH&S policies and procedures on site; and
Drive the company’s safety management system.

Your demonstrated ability to influence and manage change will help our leaders, employees and contractors openly exhibit the Company’s values and behaviours.

About the Role

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team to ensure the requirements of the HSE management plan, including systems and procedures, are followed;
Coordinate the health & safety teams to deliver timely, effective and appropriate levels of health & safety support;
Building and maintain positive working relationships with contractors/business partners and internal and external stakeholders;
Provide site direction and support for health & safety related programs and activities including campaigns, reviews, audits, inspections, and general engagement;
Support the implementation of proactive risk management processes, tools and systems that comply with the Regis risk framework and international standard ISO 31000;
Prepare and present reports to the senior leadership team in order to communicate performance and provide insight on trends;
Support and review event investigation reports i.e. ICAMs;
Undertake internal audits inclusive of Contractor audits;
Review and make recommendations for improved procedures and systems of work or equipment; and
Monitoring legislative requirements.

**Skills and Experiences**:
About You

Tertiary qualification in health and safety;
8-10 years’ experience in leading, coaching and managing a Health & Safety team in an operational environment;
Experience in maintaining and improving a safety management system;
Robust reporting and risk management; with strong knowledge of safety legislation;
Lead Auditor in OHS / Environmental or quality management systems;
ICAM or similar investigation training;
Extensive risk management experience;
Ability to liaise with workers’ compensation insurers and other interested parties to oversee rehabilitation of workers, in line with injury management requirements; and
Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage with all levels of the business in a professional manner.
