Happy Travels is the largest youth adventure travel agency in Australasia. We have 20 retail branches between Melbourne, Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Airlie Beach & Cairns. With a mission to create unforgettable travel experiences, we offer a range of services including booking activities, campervans, hostels, group tours, and travel packages. Our core customer base is young travellers and adventurers from around the globe. We are currently seeking a passionate and organised Recruitment Coordinator to join our team in Byron Bay.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various positions within the company.
- Screen CV’s & Video Applications.
- Conduct interviews where necessary
- Work closely with department hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies and forecast future hiring needs.
- Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and schedule in-person interviews with hiring managers.
- Track recruitment metrics i.e. time to hire, cost per hire.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Research and choose the most effective job advertising opportunities.
- Update weekly KPI trackers for current employees
- Coordinate employee happiness surveys on our employee HR portal.
- Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR/Recruitment professionals, colleges, Universities and other partners
- Conduct Happy Travels overseas work and travel internship programme.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employer branding initiatives.
- Support onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the company.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance recruitment practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in recruitment, preferably within the sales, travel or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Passion for travel and adventure is a plus.
