We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, flexible and student-focused trainer qualified to deliver and assess:
CHC30121 Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care
CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
As the ECEC Workplace Trainer, you will work as part of the ECEC Training Team to provide support and workplace training to Early Childhood Trainee and Apprentice Educators working within Lead Childcare and Education Centres across SE QLD., in line with industry standards, legislative requirements and Lead Institute’s policy and quality systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
Utilise flexible, blended and inclusive learning techniques and technologies to plan, facilitate and manage effective and engaging workplace training and assessment with a focus on student engagement, progression and success.
Implement assessment processes and tools on behalf of our Third Party partner in line with current industry practice and expectation exercising professional judgement, sound decision making and assessment skills to assess competence.
Adapt an ‘above and beyond’ approach to provide flexible, individualised support to all students, identifying those who may need additional support and facilitating access to educational and external support as needed.
Maintain regular professional contact with allocated students, using a variety of communication methods to maximise their engagement and participation, support their progression, and provide valuable and effective advice and feedback to assist them in achieving their study goals.
Be responsible and accountable for maintaining own currency and proactively undertake professional development in industry (vocationally) and in VET (Vocational Education and Training)
Maintain currency with industry practices, workplace delivery, contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies and competency-based assessment; by participating in relevant professional learning activities in accordance with Lead Institute’s Professional Development Framework.
Contribute to the achievement of Lead Institute’s quality assurance processes by adhering to the implementation of quality systems, processes and documentation and ensuring attention to detail when completing all administrative functions of the role in a timely manner.
Participate in validation, moderation and the review of training products and business practices, with a focus on industry engagement and monitoring student success and satisfaction.
Contribute to Lead Institute’s strategic plan and continued growth by identifying and addressing emerging issues and trends within industry and the VET sector working collaboratively in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement.
Represent and promote Lead Institute in various ways including maintaining and supporting growth of strong community and industry relationships, identifying, and reporting possible business opportunities.
Work at all times in accordance with Lead Institute policies and practices including Code of Conduct and specifics of individual Employment Contract.
Maintain an understanding of Third-Party Contract requirements within own job role and work collaboratively to ensure compliance and student progression.
Liaise with Employers/Centre Managers to arrange workplace visits and report on student progress
