**About the role**:
As the State Manager you will be responsible for leading the region to deliver business results and develop great teams, and to implement and execute business strategies within the Region, and maximise sales and increase store efficiencies’ to decrease costs.
You’ll also:
- Monitor and manage regions budgets.
- Manage key relationships between Operations and stakeholders (i.e. Merchandise, Safety, HR, Loss prevention, Store development and external suppliers etc.)
- Be Accountable for personal and team compliance with internal company policies and procedures and all applicable external laws and regulations
- Be a business advocate for customers and makes decisions based on what the customer needs and in line with operational standards.
- Provide leadership, coaching and training to store teams to increase their capability to deliver operational standards and make the customer happy
- Maximise business growth and results through their teams
- Analyse and identify performance gaps in operational standards and
- implement solutions to achieve required business metrics
- Achieves the operating standards through Area/Store Managers and their teams
**About you and your skills**:
- Proven multi-site leadership experience in a FMCG or retail business
- Extensive experience working with n retail based industries - Highly preferred
- Experience in implementing & executing business strategy consistently to high standards.
- Adaptable with a strong ability to embrace change
- High level customer focused attitude, with the ability to drive team resuts
