**The Role**
The Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Governance Officer will include:
- Engage collaboratively with Commonwealth agencies, state and territory governments and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives,
- Support effective Secretariat activities, including drafting agendas, papers, briefings in collaboration with SNAICC and other Partnership members,
- Undertake project activities, as required by the Partnership,
- Provide meeting support and logistics for quarterly Partnership meetings,
- Support regular shared reporting to Joint Council on Closing the Gap and a formal review process of the Partnership, and
- Assist in managing relevant Partnership funding, contracts and grants as required.
**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:
- Strong administrative, governance and Secretariat experience.
- Experience in managing grant and procurement activities.
- Demonstrated cultural competency in working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and representatives.
- Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, including an ability to communicate with influence.
- Capacity to drive progress of competing priorities and complex projects.
- Ability to engage with and build consensus effectively with diverse stakeholders.
