**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Head of Social and working closely with the Today Show team, this fast
- paced and exciting role is responsible for (among other things) implementing and executing a social media strategy for the ‘Today’ brand and working with the Today Show team to create great social media content around the show that amplifies the brand and people working on it.

Key objectives include - improving audience engagement and reach; producing social content (video, stories, copy and more) and developing insights/reports to shape ongoing social media strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Executing social media strategy for the ‘Today’ brand including all relevant accounts, channels, tone of voice, frequency of communication and moderation,
- Management of all social media platforms associated with Today Show.
- Working with producers and reporters in the creation and publication of relevant, original, shareable and high-quality content
- Maximise audience social media reach and engagement for all Today content
- Maximise referral traffic to relevant digital assets
- Maintain community management and moderation standards as per network strategy;
- Implementation of brand social media marketing campaigns,
- Develop and proactively share insights/reports with Head of Social, relevant 9News and current affairs staff and the broader Social, Video, Editorial and Marketing teams
- 4 days/week 5am-1pm

**Qualifications**:

- Well-rounded knowledge of all social media platforms, including emerging social and marketing trends; practical experience working with Social Media platforms for a largescale business or brand preferable
- Seamless verbal and written communication skills, including excellent use of correct spelling and grammar
- Well-developed, practical experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Prior experience in broadcast news and/or digital news
- Must have genuine interest in daily news and current affairs
- Ability to analyse, review and report on the effectiveness of content and audience sentiment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
