**About the FP&A Team**

Our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team drives superior outcomes for Canva, financial and beyond.

We are currently in our scale up phase which presents a very unique time to join one of Australia’s most successful tech companies and have an outsized impact from your efforts We’re a new and highly collaborative team full of incredibly skilled people to learn from who have a top tier variety of experience, and we need YOU in order to help Canva to keep moving fast and become a world-class FP&A team.

You’ll be able to leverage your abundant curiosity to discover information under the surface, harness your analytical mindset to turn that information into useful insights and your interpersonal skills to deliver that to our key partners in an engaging and informative way.

Joining a team of over 40 in FP&A and broader team of 170 in Finance, you’ll accelerate your growth as we invest in your development by providing mentorship and opportunities to learn from the best while having fun. **What you’ll be doing**

No two days will be the same you immerse yourself in a collaborative and supportive environment where your growth is encouraged. You’ll spend your time engaging with business leaders, providing financial analysis and insights whilst also working on a wide variety of impactful project work.

We have a few roles going in the FP&A - Research and Development Team (R&D) which partners with some of the most exciting parts of Canva (but of course we’re biased). Whether that is the product team developing new features that our customers love and exploring how we can use GenAI, to the global content team partnering with big music brands and filling out our world class content library to the cyber security team protecting Canva and it’s users from threats, there’s always something interesting going on for you to get involved in

The FP&A Analysts will be primarily involved in:

- **Business Partnering - **Engage the various R&D leaders to understand their goals/strategy and connect them to Canva’s broader company objectives and success. You’ll need to build trust, drive engagement and enhance FP&A’s reputation with the business, laying the foundation for education on our financial literacy journey with the stakeholders.
- **Planning and Analysis - **The bread and butter of FP&A teams, level up your skills in delivering useful monthly commentary, setting budgets and accurate quarterly re-forecasts. As part of this you’ll also learn how to story-tell with data in a variety of mediums to the business. (we love using Canva of course).
- **Project Work - **Aside from business partnering and FP&A activities, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in project work and impactful initiatives, whether that is producing return on investment calcs, compiling business cases or making process improvements, you’ll have the chance to work cross functionally on projects contributing to larger team or company priority goals.

- have experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis within a commercial environment.
- have a natural curiosity and a hunger for continuous learning
- are a succinct and engaging communicator _(your resume is a great way to show this)_
- have aspirations of becoming a strategic finance business partner.
- have some experience working with non-finance stakeholders.
- thrive in chaos, embracing challenges with high adaptability.
- a knack for storytelling with data
- have a bias for action and problem solving
- have the ability to adapt your communication style to both technical and non technical
- have a keen eye for setting up processes and improving efficiency
- have experience with BI tools or Anaplan is a plus.

**Where and how you can work**

Our flagship campus is in **Sydney**. We also have a campus in **Melbourne** and co-working spaces in **Brisbane, Perth** and **Adelaide.** But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home, or a bit of both, it's up to you.
