Role: Finance Analyst

Drinkworks Australia are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. We are on the lookout for a motivated individual with great attention to detail who is keen to learn and seeking a new challenge.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a diverse role supporting the wider finance team in areas of reporting, commercial finance, accounting and business partnering cross-functionally with sales, marketing and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis and Financial Reporting

  • Provide support to finance team on monthly reporting and analysis
  • Support Business Controller in journal postings and account reconciliation to ensure smooth month end closes
  • Provide analysis and insights based on Simtac sales data

Business Partnering and decision support

  • Commercial sales support
  • Review and approve On Premise tap contracts using ROI tools
  • Provide support on completing and recording tap contracts; own tap contract reporting; drive timely decisions on tap renewals
  • Own reconciliation of grocery promotions and claims; drive efficient processes with grocery team on sales accruals
  • Provide ad hoc support on value chains for existing or new products
  • Focus on process improvements and creating tools for sales team
  • Marketing
  • Business partner with marketing team including providing reporting to track spend and ad hoc support on ROI analysis
  • Supply chain
  • Ensure duty is recorded accurately and reconciled weekly with 3PL

Forecasting and budgeting

  • Responsible for loading forecasts or budgets into the system
  • Support wider team through planning process

What you will bring

  • Experience in Finance role required (minimum 2-4 years)
  • Degree in Finance, Economics or similar
  • Experience working in FMCG or alcohol industry preferred but not mandatory
  • Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders, in particular Sales and Finance teams with clear and strong communication skills
  • An eagerness to learn, adapt quickly, and thrive in an ambitious, fast-paced environment
