**About the Section**
The Communications, Parliamentary and Events (CPE) section is responsible for the development all of internal and external communications, including social media, digital and physical publications, website content and event management. This includes the development of corporate publications including the Corporate Plan and Annual Report. CPE support the CEO and Executive with Media and Parliamentary enquiries, corporate reporting, engagement with the Minister's office, other government agencies and ad hoc projects. The team also manages secretariat duties for Executive Board, Council, Principal Committees and the joint NHMRC-MRFF advisory committees.
**Job specific duties**
As a Secretariat and Events Officer, you will:
- help organise meetings and workshops for NHMRC’s Committees, including internal coordination of agendas and papers, drafting secretariate papers, reviewing paper consistency and formatting against agreed templates and collation and upload of papers to NHMRC’s online platform
- facilitate meeting logistics including polling participants and organising meeting dates, liaising with participants on preferences, coordinating travel, accommodation and catering
- communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve team objectives
- work with the team to draft basic stakeholder correspondence and other documents, this may also include correspondence related to internal governance and projects
- support the agency with the coordination and facilitation of key events and activities.

- experience managing competing priorities and deadlines.
