**About the Role**:Responsibilities include**:

- Assist with the identification and development, in consultation with the IT Support Manager, strategies for providing training and development in the use of systems and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) across the region.
- Assist with the monitoring and management of the delivery performance of ICT service providers.
- Participate in, and be a member of, a service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards.
- Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of technical support.
- Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.
- Provide expert technical advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems.

Other responsibilities (as required)
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.

- Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT support
- Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies
- Provide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems
- Participate in service level and work practice reviews
- Maintain currency of technical proficiency and skills

**Mandatory requirements**: Possession of a relevant Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution or qualifications, which in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education, or delegate, is acceptable.
