
Ato Reporting Team Leader, Operations

**Overview**
Broadly, this role is primarily responsible for managing the Operations relating to the ATO and Service Australia reporting obligations of the Retirement & Superannuation Solutions business unit of the Link Group, to ensure that reporting to the ATO and Service Australia on behalf of Link Group’s superannuation clients is complete and accurate.
The role will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders where necessary - including Regulators as required
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Managing the unclaimed super money process of Retirement & Superannuation Solutions clients including key stakeholder, CPMs
- Managing requests from the ATO arising from audits, reviews, questionnaires, queries etc, initiatives and remediation
- Ensuring all change (regulatory and/or business) is accurately implemented. Working with business change projects and Regulatory Projects/Change programs of work
- Determining the impact of key change projects on ATO/SA Operations e.g. on-boarding new clients, successor fund transfers and administration system migrations and implementing accordingly
Operational Management
- Maintaining strong and productive relationships always with Regulators - ATO/SA personnel at all levels
- To increase the maturity and quality of the ATO/SA reporting processes across the Link Group including preparing and maintaining process documentation, process maps, standardizing processes to create efficiencies, etc as required
- Ensuring that key controls (including reconciliations) in the reporting processes are evident and working effectively
- To provide dashboard reporting on key reporting processes e.g. ATO Statement of Accounts, Surcharge, MAAS/MATS and USM reporting response messaging, etc
- Identifying, promptly raising and rectifying / remediating incidents
- To escalate issues, concerns and opportunities arising promptly and concisely from the above to the reporting manager. Ensuring that material impacts on clients and the shareholder (i.e. Link Group) are communicated.
People Leadership
- Providing leadership and management of a team of ATO reporting analyst and to exhibit role model behaviours in this respect which enhance the morale of the team
Governance & Risk
- Ensuring that reporting to the ATO on behalf of fund admin clients is complete and accurate including reporting via SuperStream
- Assist with projects which provide a value-added service and a reduction in operational risk to the Link Group which facilitate retention of existing profitable business and profitable growth of the client portfolio
- Ensuring that ATO specifications arising from change are rigorously tested prior to release into production
**Experience & Personal Attributes**

- A depth understanding of superannuation legislation and compliance & regulatory issues.
- Understanding of ATO reporting requirements, processes, and structures for superannuation purposes.
