Air Combat and Electronic Attack Specialist

**About the Role**:
**What will you be involved in**:
The Air Combat and Electronic Attack role is to provide domain expertise and specialist knowledge for the development and establishment of the Air Warfare Centre’s Battle Worthiness Assessment and Operational Evaluation (BW/OPEVAL) Framework. Your contributions will be a leading factor in enhancing ‘whole of force’ interoperability. Your role responsibilities will include:

- Provide specialist warfare knowledge from the Air Combat and Electronic Attack domain, supporting development and effectiveness of the Battle Worthiness Capability.
- Analysis and identification of capability and interoperability deficiencies, opportunities, and vulnerabilities across multi-domain warfighting operations.
- Supporting development, execution, and Management of Operational Test and Evaluation outcomes.
- Supporting development and delivery of Operational Test reports.
- To design and conduct Operational Test activities against input from Command Force Element Groups in order to validate performance.
- Analysis of platform specific roadmaps against integrated warfighting concepts.
- Analysis of Force Generation Directives.
- Understand the ADF Capability Life Cycle and Head Quarters Air Command (HQAC) Preparedness Framework.
- Supporting development of tailored operational test activities supporting verification of Air Force preparedness.
- To specialise in knowledge of current and emerging Australian Defence Force (ADF) capabilities.
- To specialise in the appreciation of adversary systems, and conduct of lethality assessment.
- To effectively integrate with the Air Warfare Centre’s Exercise Control (EXCON) team to develop, execute, and manage test and evaluation scenarios supporting desired outcomes.
- To effectively integrate with Air Warfare Centre’s Ranges, Targets and EXCON teams to design, develop and manage test scenarios supporting Tactical and Operational Level Activities.

**What we would expect from you**:

- Qualified and experienced as an Australian Defence operations specialist in the Officer Aircrew domains of: Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO); Weapons Systems Officer (WSO); or Pilot (PLT)
- Must be an Australian citizen (dual citizen of AUS/US/UK is acceptable)
- Must hold, as a minimum, an Australian Defence NV2 clearance; With ability to attain PV
- Air Combat and Electronic Attack Operations Experience
- Recent Operational Test or Tactics Development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work harmoniously in small or large teams, from diverse specialty fields

**Beneficial Experience and Qualifications**:

- 1000Hrs or greater of Fast-Jet Aircrew Experience
- 5th Generation Platform Experience
- Experience operating in coalition operations and/or exercises
- Air Warfare Instructor Course (or equivalent) post-graduate qualification
