We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Inspector/Advisor to join our team and contribute to our ongoing commitment to workplace safety.
**Position Overview**:
As a Safety Inspector/Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant safety regulations and standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe working environment for our employees and ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential safety hazards and assess compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Perform thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop appropriate control measures.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions based on inspection findings and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement necessary safety measures.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs to promote a strong safety culture among employees.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventative measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety trends.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Proven experience as a Safety Inspector/Advisor or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to identify and evaluate potential hazards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using safety inspection tools, equipment, and software.
