About the role

**Role location**: Melbourne or Sydney

**Role Type**: 12 months fixed term contract / Secondment

**Team**: Credit Risk Infrastructure

As a Manager for Retail Decision System, you will be working in a high performing team developing and implementing solutions around data and Risk decision systems while ensuring the Risk decision systems are operational. You will also have oversight of strategy testing by the Retail Risk business.

Part of your responsibility is to engage with Technology in the deployment of Risk strategy changes and to work with project teams outside of Risk wanting to use Risk infrastructure. You are also expected to have the ability to be ahead of the curve and business case future technological requirements from hard technology such as systems to soft technology such as data warehouse enhancements.

Please note this role is not a people leader however is a critical role with a high level of influence.

What a typical day might look like

Conduct configuration changes for our Common Decisioning Product (CDP)
Building up decisioning systems within ANZx (ANZ-Plus Product)
Coding on Powercurve (any language)
Project Management
Articulate complex analytical information

What will likely be in your toolkit?

Educated to degree level in a numerate or commercial discipline
Strong analytic and statistical skills. Experience in business use of statistics. Good working knowledge of the following: PowerCurve Originations, PowerCurve Strategy Manager, SQL and data warehouse systems.
Proven ability to be able to make Business rule and strategy changes
A successful track record in Credit Risk Management. 3-5 years + experience in risk and risk management systems.
Understanding of scorecard/model development and other assessment systems
Effective people and project management skills - with the ability to motivate and guide members of a squad
Strong P&L focus, with the ability to think operationally and implement projects providing a P&L impact
Ability to understand and align priorities to Value metrics of the services and their Operational impacts
Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
Good commercial business acumen
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex analytical information. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
