**Introduction**:
At Gowrie NSW, we support our teachers and educators so they can thrive, ensuring they can inspire, nurture and empower children as active participants in their communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions valued.
As we continue to set the benchmark for excellence in early and middle childhood education, we are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist who shares our commitment to building a thriving, knowledgeable, and inspired workforce.
**Description**:
Why Join Gowrie NSW?
With a legacy of nearly a century in shaping the future of early childhood education. Gowrie NSW stands as a leader in the sector, known for our deep pedagogical roots and unwavering commitment to quality. Our vision is simple yet profound: to make a lasting impact on children's lives by supporting the educators who guide them.
**About the Role**:
As our Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the capabilities of our teams across all Gowrie NSW centres, programs, and our support office. You will design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and impactful learning programs that not only enhance performance but also align with our broader vision for children, families, and the sector.
You’ll have skill and expertise, the ability to think creatively, show initiative, and have demonstrated experience in e-learning platforms. Your technical ability enables you to bring good content together to create great resources.
You’ll be part of our brilliant pedagogical team, and you’ll also support the People and Culture team.
**In this role, you will**:
Conduct training needs assessments to identify the learning requirements across diverse employee groups, including casual staff.
Develop and implement learning and development initiatives that drive performance, build capability, and foster a positive organisational culture.
Create and facilitate dynamic training sessions and online courses using a variety of delivery methods and multimedia tools.
Develop competency matrices and learner pathways to ensure continuous professional growth.
Lead the organisational induction program, ensuring new staff are thoroughly onboarded and equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed.
Maintain and update our Learning Management System, ensuring all training modules are current and relevant.
Collaborate closely with our pedagogical team, people and culture, and the Education Hub to ensure alignment with organisational goals and sector requirements.
Promote a culture of continuous learning across the organisation, influencing staff and leaders to embrace ongoing professional development.
**What We’re Looking For**:
**Learning Design Whizz**: Tertiary qualifications in Learning Design, coupled with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
**Experienced Facilitator**: A confident and skilled facilitator with a strong background in eLearning design and adult learning principles.
**Collaborative Communicator**: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence positive outcomes.
**Continuous Learner**: A passion for ongoing learning, with a commitment to sharing expertise and fostering professional growth across the sector.
**Detail-Oriented Organiser**: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all learning initiatives are delivered to the highest standard.
