The Brand |

This Australian luxury brand requires no introduction - renowned for original prints, femininity and innovative designs - they have continued with their global expansion of retail locations and most recently have expanded into some of the most desirable retail locations in Europe and the US. We are searching for a talented and passionate professional who has a strong background in fabrications to join their design team as a Design Sourcing Specialist.

The Role |

In this role you will source and develop seasonal fabrics and trims working with design and development teams to develop the RTW collections. You will contribute to fabric and trim meetings with a particular focus on the development of accessories.
- Sourcing - You will be responsible for attending sourcing appointments, identifying appropriate suppliers, maintaining fabric and trim trackers and having an in-depth awareness of pricing reasonability across all raw materials.
- Development - co-ordinate the sending of artworks, manage the set-up of approved fabrics, set up intellectual property agreements, ensure cut sheets are swatched with correct fabrics and trims, assist with in house sample room workflow and be proactive in chasing up and filing all testing reports.
- Fabric & trim Library - Create and manage a system for storing sourced materials, Upkeep of all fabrics and set up of seasonal fabric headers and the trim & fabric folder to hand over to production.

The Skillset |
- Ideally have completed a tertiary course in Fashion and/or Textiles and preferably have at least 5 year’s work experience in a design room/product development/design role
- Have a good knowledge of fabrics & trims and a keen interest in fashion.
- Be able to combine both creative and technical skills.
- You will have completed a tertiary qualification course in fashion and/or têxtiles.
- Have a good knowledge of fabrics and trims
- You are able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and consider yourself to be highly organized and methodical.
- Have experience in AP21 or similar programs, as well as proficiency with the Adobe Suite
