About the Role

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will lead innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent for the NSW public sector, focusing on hard-to-fill roles in fields such as ICT, Cyber, AI, Infrastructure, Change and Program Management. You'll leverage advanced search tools, including LinkedIn, to build and maintain talent pools, while actively cultivating relationships with potential candidates and industry networks. Working closely with Workforce Planning and Strategy, you'll translate market insights into proactive sourcing solutions and provide expert support to agencies in accessing talent pipelines and candidate recruitment pools, driving best practice sourcing across the sector.

This role gives you an opportunity to share your passion and knowledge of recruitment sourcing with colleagues by upskilling the sourcing capability and recruitment strategy across the sector.

Join our Talent Advisory team within the Workforce Planning branch in the People and Workforce group and make a real impact by shaping how NSW Government attracts and engages exceptional talent for critical roles.

We're Looking For

  • Talent Pooling & Market Research: Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering workforce or talent solutions within large or complex organisations, including talent pool creation, candidate market research, mobility, or recruitment.

  • Project Management: Practical experience managing all stages of workforce project lifecycles, ideally within large-scale environments

  • Technology: Expertise in talent acquisition systems and technologies, with a focus on tools such as LinkedIn and AI.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of preparing high-quality briefs and reports for senior stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence across HR, operational teams, and senior leadership.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing competing priorities independently, demonstrating initiative and agility to drive continuous improvement.

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in workforce management, talent pools, market research, HR, recruitment, or related program delivery.
