As General Manager of Engagement & Activation, you will lead collaboration with stakeholders to curate and execute programs that captivate the City’s audiences, community and visitors with an “always-on” focus that supports growth in visitation, economic spend and the overall vitality of Western Australia’s capital city.
Intending applicants are likely to have already held an executive or management role responsible for partnership-building; creating event programs; attracting sponsorship; creating activations; public relations; marketing and communications; and stakeholder development. You should bring a sound understanding of market trends and the ability to use this knowledge strategically to inform City decision making.
Your leadership and people management capabilities must be outstanding, with the ability to influence culture to drive performance and results. Business planning, budgeting, the ability to analyse and conceptualise, and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential. We envisage someone with great judgement and initiative who can strengthen organisational systems, processes and outcomes. Importantly you also thrive on establishing and cultivating strong networks and partnerships with stakeholders and professional colleagues to achieve strategic outcomes.
