The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Registrar or Principal House Officer (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care
- Provide clinical care under supervision and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge
- Assess patients, determining and instigating appropriate investigations
- Attend tutorials, participate, and present at grand rounds, attend compulsory courses and participate in on-the-job training

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Membership of RANZCOG
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of competency in speaking and communicating in English
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 month contract commencing ASAP, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $4 458.40 - $4 910.70 per fortnight (L4 - L7) or $4 458.40 - $5 169.20 per fortnight (L4 - L9)

Gold Coast University Hospital is a busy tertiary unity with over 5,000 obstetric deliveries annually. Training at our institution allows exposure to general obstetrics and gynaecology, advanced laparoscopy and subspecialties including gynaecology and maternal fetal medicine. Based in Southport.
